- Furthermore, the EU wants to simplify access to high-quality European data spaces and puts the focus on energy efficiency at the AI gigafactories.
- Another important goal of the EU is to develop competitive language models in Europe. According to the EU Commission, everyone should have access to the AI gigafactories under fair conditions.
- In addition, the EU wants to simplify the implementation of the AI Act in companies. What this means is not known.
Our thoughts
The EU’s plan sounds good, but the question is what will be implemented. The Commission aims to use a mix of public and private funding. We are excited to see how the AI landscape develops in Europe. At the moment, Europe seems to be lagging behind the USA and China.
