🤖 OpenAI launches a free ChatGPT iOS app
OpenAI has released the official and ad-free ChatGPT app for iOS. The app has Whisper integration to support direct voice input. So you can simply talk to ChatGPT. Currently, the app is only available in the US, but OpenAI said they will roll it out to other countries soon. An Android app is also due to be released soon.

🦾 AI Robots
Sanctuary AI, a Vancouver-based robotics company, has unveiled its sixth-generation humanoid robot, Phoenix. Phoenix is a universal robot equipped with human-like intelligence. The robot can perform a wide range of tasks. Sanctuary AI announced that it had completed its first commercial deployment in March.

Tesla presented a video about the Optimus program at the Annual Shareholder Meeting 2023. The Video showed several Optimus robot prototypes performing a variety of tasks. The humanoid robot prototypes also moved on their own. Tesla Optimus even has its own Twitter account. The first tweet contains a short video. Impressive!

🔥 AI Regulation EU AI Act
The topic of “AI regulation” is hotly debated due to the upcoming adoption of the EU AI Act and the recently published national AI development strategies of countries such as the UK and the US. The EU AI law is likely to come into force this year. Then the new rules will apply to all companies and start-ups providing AI models and operating in the EU market. The law could reduce the competitiveness of European companies.
