💬 Google Bard: Second place on the Chatbot Leaderboard
Google Bard has moved to second place on HuggingFace’s Chatbot Leaderboard, going ahead of GPT-4 and only behind GPT-4-Turbo in the community-based LLM rankings.
Gemini Pro is the middle level model of Google’s planned models. They plan to release the top-level model Ultra soon. Also, Google upgraded the Chatbot Bard with the Gemini Pro AI model.
Our thoughts
Gemini’s climb up the leaderboard is impressive! It makes us even more excited for the upcoming Ultra launch. The expectations for Ultra are high. Ultra could be the main competitor to OpenAI’s GPT models. We will see.

🤖 Microsoft released its Future of Work report
Microsoft published its annual Future of Work report with a focus on the transformative potential of technology in the workplace. Studies show significant increases in productivity through the usage of AI tools. 68 % of Copilot users stated that Copilot has improved their work quality.
The report shows that depending too much on AI is a challenge when working with AI. People often accept wrong AI results without questioning them. With the generation of content through AI, knowledge work can shift towards more analysis and critical thinking. Microsoft assumes that the smooth integration of AI into work processes will have just as strong an impact on acceptance as the technology itself.
Our thoughts
In the future, AI will have an impact on all jobs, and it is good to know what weaknesses AI systems have. We need to use the technology responsibly. Collaboration between humans and AI will lead to an increase in productivity.

🤖 X’s investment in AI infrastructure
X Corp. recently got a $10M tax break in Atlanta for hardware in its $700M AI data center. They got the deal after saying they would move the project to Portland if they didn’t approve it. In addition, X purchased 10,000 GPUs for its artificial intelligence projects last year. The computing capacity is required for training LLMs such as Grok.
Our thoughts
X continues to build its AI infrastructure like other big tech companies. The data center will play an important role in X’s big AI ambitions. X’s chatbot (Grok) is still somewhat primitive compared to ChatGPT. In general, we observe that all tech companies are investing massively in AI.
