😎 Google Project Starline: Share, Collaborate and Connect
Google has been working on Project Starline for several years. There are new insights into the research. The project aims to enable us to be with friends, families and colleagues even if they live in different cities (or countries).
Project Starline is currently in use in a few Google offices. It uses custom-built hardware. The goal is to make this technology more affordable and accessible over time. The technology will be integrated into Google’s communications products in the future. Watch the YouTube video. Impressive!

📈 The stock market is rising thanks to AI
The S&P 500 has risen strongly this year (+8%). One reason for this is artificial intelligence. AI stocks have contributed significantly to the increase.
A new analysis by Société Générale shows that the enthusiasm for artificial intelligence is responsible for the entire rise in the S&P 500 this year. From night to Thursday, the stock market value of Nvidia rose by almost 220 billion dollars. Nvidia is benefiting massively from the boom in artificial intelligence.

🔥 AI Governance
The G7 countries met in Hiroshima. They recognize the need for governance for AI. They call this process the “Hiroshima AI Process”, to be launched later this year. The leaders agree that a discussion on risks is essential. G7 leaders said that rules for digital technologies such as AI should be “consistent with our shared democratic values”.
OpenAI has published the article “Governance of superintelligence”. According to OpenAI, future AI systems are capable of eclipsing even AGI. AGI stands for Artificial General Intelligence. OpenAI believes that people around the world should democratically decide on the bounds and defaults of AI systems. However, it is still unclear what such a mechanism should look like.

Magic AI tool of the week
You.com is a search engine similar to Google or Bing. The platform provides a variety of products. YouChat is a chatbot like Microsoft Bing AI Chat. YouChat 3.0 has been available since the beginning of May 2023. You can find more information in the you.com blog post.
YouWrite is an AI-powered writing tool that helps writers and bloggers. It assists you in writing texts, e-mails and social media posts. YouImagine is an AI image generator. You can use different models to create AI images (e.g. Stable Diffusion 1.5, Stable Diffusion 2.1, Open Journey, Anime).
